If NFL Strikes, College Football Should Fill In
July 14th 2011 22:25
If the NFL and its players can't come to an agreement and there is no season in 2011, then college football should take full advantage of the situation.
While there are some diehard pro football fans that won't watch the college game, at least some would-be lured by potentially great action from the same sport.
What college football should be willing to do is move some games of possible national interest to Sunday.
Many football fans would get excited about watching a Notre Dame-Southern Cal matchup on a Sunday afternoon.
And to fill the void on a Sunday night Michigan-Ohio State could fit the bill.
A Florida-Texas matchup would have some college football fans drooling, or how about a showcase contest between Boise State's high-flying offense and traditional defensive juggernaut Penn State?
The possibilities are endless if the NFL and its players can't get their act together and figure out how to share billions of dollars.
